The picture above so perfectly fits and describes my story—uphill, downhill, round and round, exciting, and scary, bright spots and dark spots. My “joyful journey” has sometimes been an amazing thrill ride and sometimes just a big downward spiral! But, the emotional, mental, and physical struggles are all part of the story, and through it all, I see clear reflections of God’s amazing grace.

The sun sets on a nice weekend!

It's been a very nice weekend here--two beautiful days in my little world! (Dontcha wish every day ended with such a beautiful sunset?)

In a book I'm reading ("Plant a Geranium in Your Cranium", by Barbara Johnson), I came across something I read a long time ago, but still find it good to remember:

"God didn't promise us days without pain,
laughter without sorrow, or sun without rain;
but He did promise us strength for the day,
comfort for the tears, and light for the way."
