The picture above so perfectly fits and describes my story—uphill, downhill, round and round, exciting, and scary, bright spots and dark spots. My “joyful journey” has sometimes been an amazing thrill ride and sometimes just a big downward spiral! But, the emotional, mental, and physical struggles are all part of the story, and through it all, I see clear reflections of God’s amazing grace.

Calling Grandma Jeannie . . .

Yesterday I spent much of my day in Vancouver, soaking up "Grandma" time with my "adopted daughter" and her three young sons.

First on the agenda was story book time with Ky, and, of course, the petting of kitties (3). Then we were off to school to visit music class for a special end-of-the-school-year thing that parents and grandparents were invited to. This is Jen with Kylen, her youngest son (5-1/2 yrs. old).

Quinn (her middle son, 8-1/2 yrs. old) is in the red and white shirt, smack dab in the middle of all the "bongo" drums.

..........
It was also an early-release day, so we took all three of her sons (including Liam, almost 10 yrs. old) out to lunch with us. Next on the agenda was time spent at their favorite park. What a nice day it was!

Cute kids, beautiful mom. Sounds like you had a fun day. We might be having Sarah for a couple of weeks the first part of July. We are already thinking of things to do.

What a fun day it looks like you all had.It sure looks like you have added on to your family.I just recently went to a grandma special day at Hannah's school also.I felt very proud of her as she got up in front of the class, introduced her grandma and then gave her report on the state she had done a project on.We went to to eat afterwards and then I went on back to Grand Rapids. Its nice to see a picture of your adopted daughter and her three sons.
