The picture above so perfectly fits and describes my story—uphill, downhill, round and round, exciting, and scary, bright spots and dark spots. My “joyful journey” has sometimes been an amazing thrill ride and sometimes just a big downward spiral! But, the emotional, mental, and physical struggles are all part of the story, and through it all, I see clear reflections of God’s amazing grace.

A Better Focus

Once taught by a wise mother:

"It's nice to be important,
but it's more important to be nice!"

I heard this yesterday from a co-worker who hasn't forgotten what she was taught in childhood.

Oh, to think on that everyday!

LOL! I can laugh a bit about it now, but you and I have both seen the not so nice side of each other! You know, Jeannie, it's proof that we are human beings! And just regular human beings at that! Quite frankly, I really don't care about being important! Never have aspired to that! But how much I have always wanted to be nice! Big sigh! OK -- onward!
