The picture above so perfectly fits and describes my story—uphill, downhill, round and round, exciting, and scary, bright spots and dark spots. My “joyful journey” has sometimes been an amazing thrill ride and sometimes just a big downward spiral! But, the emotional, mental, and physical struggles are all part of the story, and through it all, I see clear reflections of God’s amazing grace.

Just pondering . . .

Ever feel like this?

I've run out of adventure (adventurous thinking).
I've run out of fun (fun ideas).
What happened to joyful Jeannie?
(She got tired and grew old -- or, did she get old and then grow tired?)
Lord, I need newness (new freshness).
I need new strength.
I need a lift from my feeling of being old and tired.
(57 isn't old enough to feel old, is it?)
Lord, I need Your strength; I need Your help. I need You.

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:29-31 NIV)

"Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits--Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." (Psalm 103:2-5 NIV)

Okay, I will continue to hope in the Lord and He will renew my strength, so that I can run and not be weary. I will praise the Lord and think on all His benefits--the One who satisfies my desires with good things (so that my youth will be renewed).

Now what? What fun and adventurous things will I think of to enjoy today?

Hmmmm . . . guess I'll start with a dish of ice cream -- yes, at 11:00 in the morning)! It sounds fun and satisfying, so why not? It's a start -- definitely a new idea!

We are on the same wave length...even to the dish of ice cream. Only 2 days ago, I ate some at about 11:30 a.m. - only it was frozen yogurt. Praise the Lord that He is our great I Am...!

Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and Moses did the same thing, obey and trust God in the long days of life when it seemed not much excitement was happening. Uncle Ed

Joyfull Jeannie has been enjoying her beautiful home and yard,(including her cute little squirrels), and most of all enjoying having her husband home, lunches out, walks, etc.

A good reason to be on blogger break for awhile. Those were my thoughts about your absense.

Love you Jeannie
