The picture above so perfectly fits and describes my story—uphill, downhill, round and round, exciting, and scary, bright spots and dark spots. My “joyful journey” has sometimes been an amazing thrill ride and sometimes just a big downward spiral! But, the emotional, mental, and physical struggles are all part of the story, and through it all, I see clear reflections of God’s amazing grace.

From my quiet time: Benedictions and Blessings

Found in the book of II Thessalonians:

"May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
give you grace and peace."
(chapter 1, verse 2)

"May our Lord Jesus and God our Father,
who loved us and in His special favor
gave us everlasting comfort and good hope,
comfort your hearts and give you strength
in every good thing you do and say."
(chapter 2, verses 16-17)

"May the Lord bring you into an ever
deeper understanding of the love of God
and the endurance that comes from Christ."
(chapter 3, verse 5)

"May the Lord of peace Himself always give
you His peace no matter what happens.
The Lord be with you all."
(chapter 3, verse16)

"May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
be with you all."
(chapter 3, verse18)

The blessings of God:
  • grace
  • peace
  • love
  • special favor
  • everlasting comfort
  • good hope
  • strength
  • understanding
  • endurance
  • His abiding presence in our lives
