The picture above so perfectly fits and describes my story—uphill, downhill, round and round, exciting, and scary, bright spots and dark spots. My “joyful journey” has sometimes been an amazing thrill ride and sometimes just a big downward spiral! But, the emotional, mental, and physical struggles are all part of the story, and through it all, I see clear reflections of God’s amazing grace.

Road Tripping

Last weekend we (Larry and I, and Jim and Patti) jammed everything but the kitchen sink into the car, and took off on an unplanned jaunt, of uncertain length, with an undecided destination, for a unknown adventure! We headed west and meandered down the coast, stopping wherever and whenever someone said, "Let's stop here!"

After finding all the campgrounds full, well into the evening hours, we finally found an RV park that let us pitch our tent on their overflow area. It was right across the road from the ocean, at one of the most perfect, most beautiful beaches we had seen all day! After getting camp set up, we headed back into town to get some take-out supper food, and then came back and set up our chairs on the beach to enjoy the rest of sunset and twilight, staying on the beach till about 10:30 P.M.

What a wonderful weekend was enjoyed by all!

P.S. I'll try to find time to post more pictures, but, as you already know, sometimes I never do get around to doing it!
